About this coffee

Cornerstone takes its name from the first stone set in a foundation — what everything else is built on. It comes from three family-run farms in Brazil's Minas Gerais: Boa Vista, Fazenda Furnas and Apostolo Simao, each contributing something different to a cup that's clean, consistent, and easy to drink every morning.

This lot is priced against a Living Income benchmark. Most of the world's coffee farmers live below the poverty line because market price doesn't cover what it costs to live — this one closes that gap.

We know which three farms it came from, and now so do you: a foundation you can trust, and a purpose bigger than the cup.

How this coffee changes with roast

Cornerstone is easy and low in acid, which makes it work at any roast level, black or with milk. We roast it medium.

Light, it opens with almond and a touch of citrus. Medium brings praline and brown sugar, and a fuller, more comforting sweetness. Medium-dark adds roasted walnut and dark chocolate for richness and depth. Dark rounds it out with baker's chocolate and molasses. Wherever you take it, it stays clean and easy to drink. A simple everyday coffee that doesn't ask anything of you.
